Two Special Friends!
In the midst of all the wonderful events this past summer, we received 2 different messages which so saddened our hearts.
WHITNEY LANGLEY

We received news on July 15 that Whitney had been in a very serious car accident and died several hours later. Just 2 summers earlier, Whitney was in Mexico on a medical missions trip in Chiapas. Her sister Jessica and brother in law Beau have joined us many times for youth conferences and work trips. It was a joy to get to know other members of Jessica’s family, but little did we know that the trip would have such an impact on Whitney’s life. Whitney shared a great love for children everywhere she went while here in Chiapas. We will never forget her!

PETE FOLEY

We wept when we received the news. A great man went home to be with the Lord on July 30th. He could hike the mountain trails along side those much younger and seemed so strong and fit. That’s why his sudden departure was so shocking to us. Having taken several mission trips to Chiapas, Pete had made an unforgettable and wonderful impression on us. What an example he was to us all! He was a gentlemen in every sense of the word - a real man of class and integrity. Pete had a heart for missions, an enthusiasm for life and the power to influence young (and older) people to live their life for Christ. He was a very intelligent man, yet so easy to talk to. If only there could be more people like Pete Foley in this world, what a better place this would be. We so enjoyed his company and will miss him greatly. Ginny, you and your family are in our prayers!
An obituary can be found in the Houston Chronicle (August 9). The newspaper's website is www.chron.com. Also you can read tributes on these websites. One is www.leadnow.org. The other is www.zachh.wordpress.com.
Please keep the Langley and Foley families in your prayers!
