IBI Student Sponsorship

For MXO, the greatest calling and need continues to be to train up pastors and leaders and to raise funds for their schooling.

A student sponsorship is $800 for the complete two year program and it takes more than one sponsor per student. An entire two week session is $5,000 per campus. If you would like to help, it can be monthly, annually or one time online or by mail. Whatever works for you.

God has been faithful and so have our sponsors for the past 12 years of IBI history!!

Beholding God’s Glory

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory!
— John 1:14

MXO is devoted to helping others know the redemptive message of the birth, life, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus which gives us life and life more abundantly in this present time and in the age to come. Our teams throughout the year were committed to carrying out the Great Commission to go into all the world and preach this Gospel message. Since there are language barriers, some of that was done by example of showing God’s love to those in need.

Our students of IBI spend two years dedicated to focused study to gain insight and knowledge of what the written Word (Jesus) has to say to us and allowing their lives to be transformed by the living Word of God. We are faithful to this cause of Christ and His love for the people of MX, and we have beheld His glory!

Shayla Hintz, Charlotte, and Katie Bergford.

There are so many to thank as this year comes to a close. An unseen part of MXO, but a very vital one, takes place in the office of our US home. As seen in photo on the right, these ladies and dear friends were both God sent. Shayla Hintz, daughter of Professor Stephen Rannells who helped establish the two IBI Bible Schools in MX, has been our office secretary for the past 12 years. What an amazing and efficient person she has been! We became extremely dependent on her office knowledge and appreciate her years of faithfulness. God directed Shayla to move to another non-profit ministry with a full time position. Even though our hearts were sad, we could see God’s hand in it all. And God had a plan! Shayla had a good friend from her church who is a perfect fit for the part time secretary position with MXO and her own personal needs. Katie Bergford has a business degree and grew up around missions and business. God went before this change, and its been pure joy. God is good and faithful!

Russel, Charlotte, Berenice, Luis, and Carlos.

Berenice, Luis, and Carlos in the photo with us on the left are absolutely remarkable! They are our voice in Spanish and Tzotzil and our right hands. Their expertise has been a vital part of everything we have accomplished in MX in recent years. What a gift they have been to us, and the level of ministry has increased greatly  because of them!

Thank you all for your prayers, financial contributions and trips to MX this past year.  You are also remarkable and a part of all that is done!  Merry Christmas to you and your family! May this be a new year of beholding His glory!

Blessings!

Russell & Charlotte

Marriage Conference - Tuxtepec

Pastor Cesar and Mauri organized the conference which exceeded all our expectations in attendance and ministry.

Guest speakers Joe and Cathy Schoblocher did an outstanding job of teaching during the conference.

Many thanks to Jacquline and Josias, Berenice and Luis, and all their team for the beautiful decorating, serving, and interpreting.

Earlier in Chenalhó, Pastor LaNell Miller was honored with a beautiful celebration for 23 years of ministry in Chiapas.

Women’s Conference

Pastors wives from throughout the Highlands gathered for an all day meeting in Chenalhó. Many thanks to all who came together to make this event possible.

Olga, Rosy, Kim, Barbara, Charlotte, LaNell, and Rosa. Conference meetings included Rancharia Sinai, Tzabalhó, and Chenalhó.

Thank you to the Bethesda Tuxtepec team for faithfully preparing and serving the special luncheon for the women, men, and kids totaling around 350 people.

It takes a very large team to conduct the week of conference - Chenalhó and IJSR leaders, Bethesda team, COTR-TX, and MXO.

Many gifts were distributed throughout the week. Thank you COTR-TX for financing the conference, ministering to children in every location, and for the construction on the Chenalhó dorms.
